Charlie Mallini - Senior Systems Engineer

With a career spanning over 30 years at NASA and more than four decades in aerospace engineering, Charlie has significantly contributed in both technical and leadership roles.

After earning a B.S. and M.S. from the University of Texas, Austin, his key positions have included leading NASA’s WB-57 High Altitude Research Aircraft Program and serving as Deputy Director of the Constellation Test and Operations Office.

He is recognized for his adept management of resources in mission-critical projects. Notably, Charlie has received awards such as NASA’s Exceptional Service Medal and the Mark Heath Engineering Award.

Beyond his professional sphere, Charlie is a licensed private pilot with an instrument rating and has a keen interest in astronomy. He has also been committed to mentoring the next generation of engineers. Outside work, Charlie enjoys traveling with his wife and spending time with family and four grandkids.
