Jason Baker - Co-Founder Managing Partner
Jason is Co-Founder and Managing Partner with StrataSE and the Lead Systems Architect on the ExxonMobil contract.
Jason has a diverse fifteen years’ experience spanning three industries: Oil and Gas among Transocean, BP, and ExxonMobil, Aerospace with Barrios Technology and NASA, Technology with Microsoft. He holds various certifications including, PMI Certified Project Manager (PMP), INCOSE Certified Systems Engineer Professional (CSEP) and TUV Certified Functional Safety Engineer in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
Jason holds various degrees including a Master of Engineering in System Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from University of Houston and is a Doctoral Candidate in Engineering Management and Systems Engineering at George Washington University.
He has led multiple systems engineering teams in various HW and SW projects covering the full engineering life cycle from architecture, design, development, verification, deployment, and operations. Jason has an extensive portfolio of transforming business models leveraging agent based and discrete event simulation with AnyLogic and immersive data analytics visualizations in Tableau and PowerBI.
Jason has served in various professional leadership positions including INCOSE Texas Gulf Coast Chapter Vice President and President from 2017 – 2021. Additionally, Jason was the Vice Chair and Chair of the Society of Petroleum Engineers Offshore Technology Conference Program Committee from 2017 – 2022. Jason is currently the Energy Industry Advisor for the INCOSE Texas Gulf Coast Chapter.
Jason has over a dozen technical publications spanning a decade in various topics involving systems engineering, modeling and simulation presenting at many conferences including INCOSE, SPE, IADC, OTC, AnyLogic and INFORMS. Jason holds two patents related to offshore well construction including: Integrated end-to-end well construction automation system WO2022072924A and Drilling automation systems WO2022072429A3.
