Robbie McAfoos
Robert McAfoos - Co-Founder
Robbie has joined Strata Systems Engineering as part of a founding team of Barrios employees. Prior to joining Strata, Robbie was a part of the executive team of Barrios Technology and was integral to the company’s growth and expansion. He served in leadership positions at the executive level and his roles included President, Program Management and key advisory assignments in Technology, Business Development, and Contracts Management.
He was also the executive sponsor of Barrios’ systems engineering services. He is an INCOSE Past President of the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter and was a founding member of the O&G Working Group.
Robbie holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. Furthermore, he has Project Management Professional and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certifications.
Robbie has served as the Chair of the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership (BAHEP) and is a member of the Board of Directors for Community in Schools Bay Area. He is also active in the Gulf Coast INCOSE chapter.
Robbie also serves as a member of the emerging technology forum for the American Petroleum Institute (API).
Robbie is a proud father and grandfather. As well as spending time with family, Robbie enjoys relaxing on the water, cycling, and being active.
